On December 12, 2011, Jeremy Crane and Kyleigh Marie Crane were at home watching cartoons. Michael Bell, who was an old friend of Jeremy, came to the Crane home with a partner and a gun to steal two video game consoles. They told 21-year-old Jeremy and 7-year-old Kyleigh to lie on the floor, then shot each of them in the head. Jeremy's mother found their bodies later that day.
