On March 4, 2019, Candi Sue McKee was reported missing by her husband. A few hours later, authorities found her car in flames, with a lot of blood at the scene. A source told the investigators that a man named Kevin Byerly had been "stalking" Candi. When they located Kevin, he confessed to killing Candi with a screwdriver and dumping her body in a river, where she was found the same day.
