On February 27, 2017, Jessica Lynn Mills was killed in front of her daughters. Jessica and her family had been driving when another vehicle bumped into them. When Jessica's husband attempted to stop and speak with the occupants of the other car, one of them opened fire, hitting the 29-year-old mother in the back. Unbeknownst to Jessica's husband, the youths who ended up killing her had carjacked the vehicle they were driving. No arrests have been announced in Jessica's death.
